Witty rambling

Why do I find it so difficult to do this one essay? This one last essay? I bet I am not the only one who feels this way. No matter if it is the last essay or the last exam, you tend to take it lightly. Maybe this is human nature. We tend to think ahead of ourselves. Certain times it is good as it helps you think and plan for the future, but other times, it aint gonna do you no good. Why? Because you'll be living in a denial! The exam hasn't finished my dear friend. You are almost done, but not quite yet. I think the word 'almost' is significant, not just in this sense, but many other. 'Almost' means you came close to get it, but didn't. You failed to get it. 'Almost' means if you put just a little extra effort, you will get it. So why do we always neglect what's important to us? I don't know. Is it because we are careless? Could be. We 'accidently' neglect what's important to us. Make sense. But if we just be a little bit more careful, we wouldn't have to deal with the consequences of our negligence. Right? That's our own fault. Your own fault. We are not perfect you say? Stop making excuses.

Biology is destiny. Do you agree? This statement could be true or otherwise. If biology is destiny, ie if a woman is born to be feminine and man to be masculine, how do you explain masculine women and effeminate men? Consequently, the traditional roles of men and women are transgressed because of these reversal roles. Men take the position of women and vice versa. Therefore, biology does not determine the future of a person. Yes?

And how do you explain transvestites? Are they cross-dressing for fun or is it because they are comfortable dressing up as the opposite sex? Or is it an innate thing? They want to cross-dress because they can identify themselves wearing those clothing, even if that means they are violating the norm. So biology can't be destiny, can it?

And how about homosexual relationships? Biology says heterosexual relationship is 'normal'. So how do you explain lesbians and gays? Are they abnormal because of their sexual preferences? If so, why are they abnormal? Perhaps this predefined ideology has changed. Perhaps it is considered as normal now to have member of the same sex as your partner. So that means biology is not destiny, rather culture defines your destiny.

It is all very confusing and ofcourse it is hard to tell which one is the right and the wrong answer. And that makes it a bit more difficult, don't you think?
